Welcome to the dummies guide on how to get stronger in Dengeki Bunko: Crossing Void. Here are some tips and tricks on progressing further into the game, some new features and leveling your characters fast in the game. Do the Main Story first. Once you are finished with the tutorial, your first goal is to do the Main Story stages as far as you can (Main Menu->Story). This is where you can obtain Maigo (Premium currency), Coins and other loot. It is also the only way to obtain fast Crosser EXP which will help level up your account faster. You will be able to unlock more new features as you level up. Once you have selected a stage, you will be able to set up your team, see your Team Mastery (Overall team power) and see the enemy info (Tap on any of the enemy icons). You will also be able to select a 'Cheer' for your team. I highly recommend doing so as it gives your team a bonus passive throughout the battle. You will also be able to add that 'Cheer' player into your friends list once the battle is over. Try to complete each stage with 3-stars. This is where you can spend more EN (Energy), allowing you to obtain more loot once you play the same stage again. You will also be able to collect the star-chest rewards (From the stage select screen, tap the chest at the bottom left corner). Main and Sub characters. In this game, there are 2 types of characters, Main and Sub. The main difference between them is that Main characters will have 3 different skills while Sub characters only have 1. Each formation you are allowed to have 3 Main characters and 3 Sub characters (1 Main and 1 Sub for each team slot). Both Main and Sub characters will also have a 'Cross' relation skill which only activates if the specific Main and Sub characters are placed in a team slot. For example, if you place both 'Asuna' and 'Kirito' together, you can activate its 'Cross' relation skill in battle. You can check each character's 'Cross' relation skill by looking at the character profile and select 'Cross Relation' (Main Menu->Characters->Select a Character->Cross Relation). Basic Battle Tips. There are 2 things that you need to know. The first one is looking at all the characters' turn order including the enemies. The arrow that is pointing above your character will be the one to make a move. For example, in this scenario, now is Kuroko's turn (4th). The next turn is Shizuo because he is 5th and then the following turn will be the enemy's turn (6th). The second is to check each characters' skills. If you look at the bottom of the screen, you will see all the skill icons (Above the skill icon is the number of SP required) (Below the skill icon is the type of effect). Holding down any of the skill icons will give you the full details on what each skill does (Single target or AOE). From the tutorial, some ultimate skills are required to charge before they can be activated. If your enemy is charging an ultimate skill, use a 'Break' skill to interrupt its charge to negate the attack. Battle Tips: Auto or Manual? If you want to 'Auto-Pilot' your battles you can do so by tapping the 'Auto' button. This will allow the game to automatically use your characters' skills based on the situation. I would say it is great to use if you are farming stages or you are kinda new to the game. On harder battles, however, it is a good idea to not use the Auto mode and play manually. In the end, it is up to you. Use the Gacha to obtain high rarity characters. As of right now, the only way to obtain high rarity characters is to use the Gacha (Main Menu->Gacha). Usually, you should aim for A and S tier characters as they will help you a lot in the endgame. To use the Gacha, you will need Gacha vouchers. There are a ton of ways to earn them, usually by completing the Main Story stages. You can also trade your Maigo at the premium store for more Gacha vouchers (Main Menu->select 'Maigo'->Event Pack->Gacha Voucher Pack). I highly recommend saving up your Gacha vouchers until you have at least 50 of them to use the x10 Rate Up Gacha. This will increase your chances of obtaining A or S tier characters. If you want to spend money on this game, spend it on Purchased Maigo and then go to 'Your Mr. Mrs. Right'. This is where you can select your favorite A-S tier character which you will automatically obtain once you use the Gacha 10 times. You can also purchase the 'Newbie Pack' from the Store to obtain 2 A tier characters + 200 Paid Maigo. Character Tier List by FelixDiffer: [Link] Strengthen your characters! (Part 1) There are multiple ways to increase your character's Mastery (Power) (Main Menu->Characters->Select a Character->Tap the Level/EXP bar). Leveling up characters (Level) If you want to level up your characters quickly, you can use EXP food to obtain tons of EXP to your character. There are 4 types of EXP food (Apple, Shaved Ice, Donut and Coconut Soda), each gives a certain amount of EXP. EXP food can be obtained mainly from completing the quests. Take note that you can only level your characters up to your current account level. Advancing characters (Star) Each character will start off with 1 star (Max 6 stars). You can advance a character to increase its tier and star by 1. It will increase a certain stat for your character. You will need 'Advance' materials like Will or Resolve jewels. These can be obtained from playing the Main Story stages. Strengthen your characters! (Part 2) Altering character talents (Talent) If you have Character Fragments, you can use them to 'Alter' your character's talents. Each talent will have its own rating and stat. The higher the rating of talent, the better the stats. Each alteration costs 1 Character Fragment and will produce new talent. This is where you get to keep your old talent or replace it with a new one. Try to aim for a higher rating to increase your character's Mastery. Upgrading character skills (Skill) Character skills can be upgraded to increase its level and its effect + damage. You can use Coins to increase the level of skill. New skills will be unlocked upon reaching a certain star tier. Equipping and enhancing Curios (Curio) Curios are similar to equipment/gear. There are 4 types of Curios for each character that you can equip. Curios can also be enhanced to increase its stats further. You will need Sugos in order to enhance a Curio. The higher the rarity of the Curio, the better the stats and the higher its max level. You can find high rarity Curios and Sugos from the Curio Hunt. Do all the Challenges.
