I just tested as well. Huntress vs. darkmage, bot with same relic levels and same exact gear using the same exact attack (claw).

Huntress did more damage. The amount was just a bit
Soda Dungeon 2. I just tested as well. Huntress vs. darkmage, bot with same relic levels and same exact gear using the same exact attack (claw). Huntress did more damage. The amount was just a bit less than 1000 multiplied by my + magic damage which would account for the +25% magic damage increase (small boost on top of 1500%) that dark mage passive gives. Sure, it's not a huge amount of damage, but the bonus grows with your + magic / physical damage increase so the higher you go the more the bonus grows. Even 20-30k more damage can mean quite a few extra levels before enemy health catches up to no longer 1 shot. With same relic and gear huntress does deal more damage with the same attack. But dark mage has more defenses in their class mastery. It'd take someone more capable of analyzing the numbers than I am to figure out id the essence you can save on damage and apply to health would improve defenses more than dark mage's class mastery benefit.
